North by North East is an annual music festival and conference, that has been going on for the past 16 years in heart of downtown Toronto. Taking place this year, from June 14th-20th, it has showcased some pretty awesome artists in the past (alumni include Peaches, and Sufjan Stevens). Some big names this year for the festival are Iggy and the Stooges, The Raveonettes and De La Soul.
NOT headlining the festival is one of toronto's own fabulous talents, Diamond Rings. If you've never been to a Diamond Rings show, it is definitely something worth checking out. His dance moves and tight-tight leggings should be enough to draw you in, but just in case you need a little more, his songs are super-fun-danceable little numbers and will stay with you hours after the preformance (and, it is a PREFORMANCE) is done.
