National Post - Harem Pants Debate

National Post - Harem Pants Debate Monday, 15 December 2008

In this article, Nathalie Atkinson (Fashion Editor) investigates whether Harem Pants (we call them Kurta Pants) will have mainstream appeal or not. In the end, she decides they probably will only be seen in select boutiques in oppose to the Bay and Walmart. She's probably right. We still love them! We saw her wearing them at the Afshin Feiz show during Toronto Fashion Week and thought she rocked them. We wish we had a picture her.

Below is the article:

"Pattern this spring are all about flowers and stems (as usual), but also painterly broad stroked, bold abstract florals and graphic geometric. The idea is to dress not like a Soho gallerista - they wear all black - but what's hanging on their walls."

The Neve tulip dress in an airy houndstooth-print cotton/silk blend is by Toronto's brother-sister design team Alia and Jamil Juma. They've launched an online shop.

$145, also in black and white at www.jumaonlinestore.com"
