How do these paintings make you feel? We feel very melancholic when we look at these paintings by Maurizio Bongiovanni. These paintings make you feel every different emotion one can have. We want to know how you feel? Are they inspiring and uplifting? Or are they sad and melancholic?

It is hard to imagine a simple piece of white paper being transformed into such a creation, but for Richard Sweeney it is a totally conceivable idea.

Born in Huddersfield, England, Sweeney attended Batley School of Art and Design, specializing is three demensional design. His design philosophy describes maintaining an experimental, hands-on approach, all the while, utilizing every-day materials to discover their hidden and individual sculptural forms.

Check out this art by artist Yoshi Sodeoka, he does video art, both videos and stills...we think they're pretty awesome...no idea how it's done, but still cool. The videos have a creepy modern psychadelic vibe, which is definitely intriguing to watch. Check it out....enjoy!

Lauren Diciccio recreated these images found in newspapers with yarns and cotton muslin.

"As news-gathering departs from paper form and is conveyed instead through the television and internet, the newspaper becomes a nostaligic and old-fashioned object. I describe the beauty of the ritual experience of newspaper-reading by describing the paper as a tactile and fragile object in the language of craft. The pieces in this series are entire issues of The New York Times encased in hand-embroidered cotton muslin. I select a photograph from the paper; usually a strong image suggestive of power, leadership or communication; and embroider the image onto the fabric, applying colors in a painterly way and layering line and thread. Portions of the image remain as outline and threads tangle and unravel from the fabric." - Lauren Diciccio
